A Platform Approach to Flexible Single-Use Endoscopy
AdaptivEndo’s platform of flexible single-use endoscope designs represent a wholistic approach to the address the unique needs of each clinical setting.
Larger diameter endoscopes for the gastrointestinal (GI) market incorporate complex electronic and fluid controls, as well as two axis precision articulation and brake controls for steering. The need to preserve this high-quality clinical interface while avoiding incorporating the cost of the handle into a single use endoscope resulted in the AdaptivEndo™ hybrid endoscope design.
Alternatively, smaller diameter endoscopes typically articulate in a single plane and have at most a single fluid control valve. The AdaptivEndo™ team has utilized techniques associated with other steerable minimally invasive devices, as well as clinician input to design a line of innovative single-use small diameter endoscope designs that improve the user experience while improving economics.
Regardless of the approach, all AdaptivEndo™ flexible endoscope designs are based on modular platforms that utilize common components and designs.

Duodenoscope
The AdaptivEndo™ Duodenoscope is a specialized endoscope used primarily for ERCP, but also for Cholangioscopy. It is side-viewing and enables direct visualization of the major duodenal papilla en-face. The steering and elevator response provides a familiar interface for clinicians. The single-use Duodenoscope cartridge eliminates reprocessing and the related infection risks.

The AdaptivEndo™ Gastroscope Cartridge is used for general upper diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Two Gastroscope cartridges will be offered. The first cartridge incorporates a smaller insertion tube for pediatric applications or where esophageal/duodenum patency is an issue. The second cartridge incorporates a larger insertion tube with a therapeutic (3.7 mm) tool channel.

Colonoscope/Sigmoidscope
AdaptivEndo™ has designed five (5) different cartridges for lower GI procedures. The shortest is a sigmoidoscope with a 12.5mm tool channel. Colonoscope cartridges have been designed with options for two (2) different diameter insertion tubes (10mm and 12.5mm), as well as two (2) different lengths (long versus standard). The 12.5mm insertion tube versions provide a large 3.7mm tool channel and a tissue irrigation nozzle for therapeutic applications.

The AdaptivEndo™ Control Console uniquely integrates ERCP and Cholangioscopy through a dual cartridge console with a single video interface. The AdaptivEndo™ Control Console can easily be added to an existing tower. It offers quick connection for electrical, gas and sealed fluid control and is compatible with common support equipment and tubing sets.

Cholangioscope
Compatible with the GI-Vue Console, the AdaptivEndo™ Cholangioscope provides 4-way steering and works in concert with the AdaptivEndo Single-use Hybrid Duodenoscope. The AdaptivEndo™ Cholangioscope can be seamlessly added to the GI-Vue™ Console during ERCP, mid-procedure. This allows the clinician to incorporate cholangioscopy when direct visualization is required.

Ureteroscope
The clinical need for a single-use ureteroscope with quality imaging and a large tool channel is significant. Reusable ureteroscopes require frequent repairs costing thousands of dollars and often undergo only soak HLD to avoid procedural delays. The AdaptivEndo™ ureteroscope provides a cost effective alternative with integrated irrigation control.
