Doug Ladd has more than 30 years of business experience in the health care marketing field. He began his career in the pharmaceutical industry with Merrell Dow Pharmaceuticals (later known as Marion Merrell Dow and now part of Sanofi). He then worked as a Product Manager and New Business Development Director for ChoiceCare, an HMO subsequently acquired by Humana.

For the past 20 years, Doug has been focused on the medical device industry. He joined Johnson & Johnson Ethicon Endo-Surgery in 1996 as a product director in New Product Development and progressed to Marketing Director. He left Ethicon to serve as VP of Marketing and Sales for AtriCure, Inc. (a venture-backed start-up in the cardiac surgery market that has subsequently gone public) and played an instrumental role in building the company. Doug returned to Johnson & Johnson in 2002, and focused on starting new ventures within their surgical business.

From 2012 to 2016, Doug was the Chief Marketing Officer for EndoChoice Inc. This was another venture-backed start-up company when Doug joined. He was part of the leadership team that took the company public in June 2015 after growing the business from $20MM to $70MM in revenues. EndoChoice was subsequently acquired by Boston Scientific. Outside of his corporate experience, Doug has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations such as the Brighton Center (a United Way agency) and the Foundation of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
